Ahmedabad: The city of Ahmedabad, the capital of Gujarat, witnessed the big plane crash in 1988.
The crushed was 135 on the plane. Only two of them lived in their lives. It is reported that the Boeing 737-200 aircraft of Air India started flying from Mumbai on October 7 of the year. The number of passengers was quite low in proportion to the seat. So it started it's journey at 5:00 am at 5:00 am 20 minutes late. However, the plane suffered an accident around 5:00 am. It collapsed in the village of Chiloda Kotarpur near Ahmedabad. At that time, the distance from the runway was only two and a half kilometres.
At the moment of the accident, there were 120 passengers and 5 crew on the plane. Only two lives. Former Vice - Chancellor of Gujarat Vidyapith Binod Tripathi and industrialist Ashok Agarwal. Several years later, Tripathi died normal. However, the body of Agarwal was mysteriously recovered from a flat in Ahmedabad.
